ESI Expands to Meet Client Demand in Asia
ESI International, 25/05/2010
Singapore – 25 May 2010 –
For the past several years, ESI International has consistently added resources to support and promote the professions of project management and business analysis throughout Southeast Asia and China. As strong growth returns to the region, ESI has again strengthened its commitment and today announced the promotion of Alan Garvey as ESI’s Managing Director of Asia and EMEA.
For more than eight years Garvey has led the expansion of ESI’s operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. His extensive experience with multi-language, multi-currency and multi-cultural business environments will ensure ESI has the leadership it needs to grow along with its clients.
Initially ESI will focus on China, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines and Hong Kong, reaching out to the rest of the region as client needs arise. Garvey has three key objectives for ESI over the next 12 months:
1. Help the region’s senior executives better understand how strong project management can improve results.
2. Increase ESI senior executive engagement in growing long-term relationships with state owned enterprises and businesses in China.
3. Build and adapt learning content, tools and techniques to meet the unique needs of technical professionals in the region as necessary.
“With a great team and fully-staffed offices throughout the region, ESI has the infrastructure in place to succeed for its clients in the region,” said Garvey. “Now we need to help business and governmental leaders realize the impact improved project management can deliver.”
“Alan is well-suited for this leadership role. He joined the ESI EMEA team in 2002 and led them through very similar opportunities,” said John Elsey, President & CEO, ESI. “The success and growth our clients have seen in EMEA has been very impressive and I believe his experience will be beneficial for our clients in Asia as well.”
